The First Client Was Us
Unjammer builds Roadmaps for small businesses, so the first Roadmap we ever built was our own. In March 2026, when we were still Thotos, we ran the full method on ourselves: the same diagnostic, the same Blueprint, and the same Roadmap a client gets. We did it for the same reason a client would, to find out where the business really stood instead of where we assumed it stood.
Where we started
The Blueprint scored us 37 out of 100, which is the Structured stage. Most small businesses score around 35, so we started about where a typical client does. The pillar scores were Client Journey 60, Team and Decision Logic 55, Operations and Efficiency 45, Digital Twin 15, and Succession and Freedom 10. The quick free assessment had put us higher than the full Blueprint did, which is the reason the Blueprint goes deeper.
The Blueprint found a business with a clear vision and a strong technical foundation, built around a central database. It also found that financial tracking, client proposals, and internal processes were not yet defined or written down, which made the business depend heavily on the founder. Before any advanced AI could pay off, the business needed its Digital Twin first, meaning its processes documented and its data captured in a consistent way.
The Roadmap
From that, the Roadmap identified 16 opportunities across three phases and 28 tasks. Phase 1 is the foundation: an SOP documentation system, full expense tracking, a password manager, standard proposal and statement of work templates, centralized contact data, and automated backups. Phase 2 builds on it with proposal automation, a business health dashboard, a lead nurture email sequence, a podcast content pipeline, and a task management system. The heavier AI items, such as a knowledge chatbot and financial forecasting, sit in the last phase on purpose, because they only work once the foundation underneath them is in place.
Where it stands now
Two Phase 1 tasks are complete: the expense capture tool is set up, and the first SOP has been drafted from a recorded walkthrough. The expense tool works but is not fully connected to the database yet.
Beyond those two, more has been done than the tracker shows. SOPs, standard practices, and better workflows have been put in place since March, and they have saved time, a few hours here and there. That progress has not been formally remeasured yet, and we would rather say so than put a number on it from memory.
Early estimates
Early in the work we estimated three savings. Standardizing repeatable client work saved about four hours per engagement. A consistent file naming and storage system saved about three hours a week. Designing the client journey to run from lead to delivery without manual handoffs avoided about six hours of operator time per engagement. These are early estimates, not audited results, and they are being remeasured.
Why we are showing this
A company that helps others get ready for AI did not start out fully ready itself, and that is normal. Foundation First. AI Second. is the process we follow for clients, and we follow it too. We are also still working through the Roadmap, the same as a client would.
What comes next
Unjammer has changed a lot since March, so the next step is a fresh assessment under the new structure. This page will be updated with the new score next to the original 37, and with remeasured time savings.
